It turns out our little girl is one of those babies that goes zero to screaming in no time. We usually have a nice hour in the morning where she's calm, looking around, taking in the world. Then she falls asleep, and any time she wakes up after that, she tends to give us a minute, then whine for a second, and then go right to crying. Only a matter of time (seconds) before it hits screaming level. Lots of fun.
When we do get her calmed down, her papasan swing seems to do the trick to keep her calm. It's a comfy looking swing, with options to swing left to right or back to front. Light up butterflies and spinning flowers complete the package. Would be nice if they made it in adult sizes - I'd love to hop into one right next to her and join her in a nap!
